A fine art studio tailored to your artistic goals and vision
After a decade of personal art practice and coaching, Art Matters was founded in 2020 to help passionate individuals develop their artistic skills and vision. It is nestled in Goodman Arts Centre, an enclave of artists and art practitioners.
Through an open, creative learning environment, and a group size of not more than nine per session, every participant will receive quality and professional coaching time.
Meet our resident artist:
Le Matt
Born in Singapore (1985), Le Matt left his engineering degree course to pursue his passion in traditional Western painting. Graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2011, his ongoing practice is rooted in the exploration of the human condition, in particular portraiture and social realism.
He is the recipient of Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Scholarship as well as ‘Leadership in Art Practice’ award and has exhibited at venues including Esplanade, The Arts House, Aliwal Arts Centre, National Design Centre, Objectifs Gallery, and the Affordable Art Fair. His artworks are currently represented by Cape of Good Hope Art Gallery.
Le Matt is versatile in various mediums ranging from graphite, acrylic to oil painting. Besides painting, he also has 14 years of experience in teaching professional art practice to adults, conducting art workshops & corporate team-bonding events.
